Andy’s hospitality journey began in 2016 at the Calgary Marriott Downtown, where he held roles in Events and later as Bar Manager at ONE18 Empire. After more than seven years with the company, his dedication to exceptional service and passion for the craft led him to The Dorian, Autograph Collection, where he managed Wilde on 27 for the past two years before joining Fairmont Palliser.
Originally trained as a Paramedic, Andy was drawn to the world of hospitality through a genuine desire to care for people and anticipate their needs in meaningful ways. He takes pride in crafting memorable moments for guests—whether through a warm interaction, a thoughtfully prepared cocktail, or a personalized wine recommendation that evokes a sense of nostalgia.
Among his personal favourites at Hawthorn is the Gnocchi paired with a Boulevardier cocktail—a rich dish complemented by a timeless classic.
